When the grumpy, no-nonsense farmer Maria Bodin and her son Christian learn that a large industrial goat cheese factory is slated to open near their humble farmhouse, they decide to take action and they’re willing to do anything to stop it. Their mission takes them from the chaotic bustle of the Salon de l’Agriculture to the winding landscapes of Morocco. From blackmail and fistfights to wild car chases, the Bodins face every obstacle to protect their artisanal cheese-making traditions and preserve their rural values.
